Engineering IT Business Analyst Jobs Description

An engineering business analyst job involves performing business process analysis to identify opportunities to re-engineer business processes, improve efficiencies, and reduce costs. An engineering business analyst also provides comprehensive assessments and recommendations for existing and potential engineering projects.

The chief responsibilities of an engineering business analyst include translating business needs for projects and programs into data analysis and reporting solutions, gathering requirements, performing process analysis and process improvement, and developing project test approach and scripts. Additionally, an engineering business analyst may also liaison with colleagues in the engineering, project management, and finance departments to develop a range of analysis, reports, and recommendations that will help identify and prioritize projects and opportunities. Other duties include conducting feasibility studies and performing risk analysis, financial analysis, and cost benefit analysis.

To apply for an engineering business analyst job, a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, or a related discipline is required. Prior experience in a business analysis and project management role is also important. An ideal candidate should also exhibit excellent analytical, communication, computer, project management, and presentation skills.
